Two Heights. Two Modes. Twice the Control:

Step Up

The lower level keeps your thumb close to the stick for fast movement and tracking. Engage the upper level and your contact point shifts — giving you a longer lever arm and finer control for precision aim. It's not a gimmick; it's physics. More control over the stick means smaller, more accurate micro-adjustments.

Speed. Precision. No Compromise

Directional Grip with D-pad Feedback:

Studs

The textured surface and raised studs give your left thumb a consistent anchor point. You stop thinking about whether your stick is centred and start moving with intention. Strafing, pre-aiming a corner, repositioning mid-fight — all of it feels deliberate instead of approximate.

Smooth. Controlled. Effortless.

Your thumbsticks are your direct connection to the game

When you're trying to level up in a competitive FPS, you look for every edge you can get. Settings, sensitivity, loadouts — you run through all of it. But the part most players overlook is the one they never stop touching: the thumbsticks.

Movement, aim, positioning, reaction — all of it flows through them. Stock thumbsticks are built to cover every genre, every player, every playstyle - that's exactly the problem.

Got the Shooter Kit on recommendation - difference with Step Up was obvious straight away. They are really good thumbsticks, helps drastically for aiming.

Was sceptical it's a thumbstick topper, how much can it actually change? Quite a lot, it turns out. Movement feels locked. Step Up took about 20 minutes to adjust to. Decent kit.

What they actually do for you

The Shooter Kit replaces compromise with two attachments designed specifically for FPS play — one for each stick, each solving a different problem.

Swap them in seconds. No tools. No permanent modifications. Just your controller working the way it should.

Left stick: Studs | Right stick: Step Up

Modular, swappable, built to last

The Thumb Soldiers system is designed to be changed, not committed to. Works across PlayStation, Xbox, Switch - in fact all thumbsticks. If your setup changes, your toppers move with you.

And because they're designed and manufactured in the UK, the tolerances are tight — they fit the way they're supposed to, every time.

Shooter Kit FAQs

More FAQs

Will these work with my controller?

Choose your controller for the compatible Knuckle docking clips to fit your thumbsticks. If you're unsure about your specific controller, drop us a message before ordering and we'll confirm.

Do they void my controller warranty?

No. The toppers sit over your existing thumbstick caps — nothing is modified, drilled, or permanently attached. They remove as easily as they go on, leaving your controller exactly as it came. Your warranty is untouched.

How long does it take to get used to Step Up's two-level design?

Most players find their footing within a session. The lower level feels close to stock so there's no cold-start adjustment. Engaging the upper level for precision is a conscious choice at first — within a few hours it becomes instinct. If you've ever adjusted to a new sensitivity setting, you'll adapt to this faster.

I've tried different thumbstick grips before and they made no difference. Why is this different?

Most toppers change grip texture and nothing else. Studs adds directional feedback that helps with positional awareness under pressure. Step Up changes the contact geometry of your aiming stick — it's a mechanical difference, not a cosmetic one. That's the distinction. If you've only tried grip covers, you haven't tried this.
